School Health Program and Anaemia Control

Program includes general health check up of school students of rural areas, specific check up for Limb and Muculo-skeletal problems, providing ON THE SPOT physiotherapy services and referring to our OPD who need it, prescriptions for medical problems and free drugs from our medical OPD and continuous assessment of the progress after management. This year, A Health Camp was organized at Government Girls High School, Harrawala where students were examined for general health, eye, dental care and anaemia control.

The Anaemia control on the pattern of National Anaemia Control Program and Blindness control program are carried out by the Institute. These two programs have been clubbed together. In this academic session more then 150 students of the Government Girls High School, Harrawala were examined for Anemia and drugs (Iron + Folic Acid + Vit A.D) have been provided to them for the period of 100 days to each case. A noted decrease of 11 % in anaemia cases were observed since previous years.

In the Eye Camp out of 174 patients 12 patientswere diagnosed with senile cataract. The Institute made complete payment for their investigations, surgery and medicines.
