II UK GIRLS BATTALION ACHIEVEMENTS OF NCC GIRL CADETS

CATC-II was held between 10^th and 19^th December 2009 at Anarwala, Dehradun. It was attended by 45 girl cadets of Sardar Bhagwan Singh (P.G) Institute of Bio Medical Sciences and Research, Balawala, Dehradun.The camp was completely successful. Appreciated by Brigadier PPS Pahwa, the cadets impressed one and all with their sense of discipline, hard work and achievement.

The cadets marked the camp’s end with their cultural sensitivity—stirring up emotions through their special performance of the mime on the Hindi track, “Taqat Watan Ki…”- a task given to them during the camp. The SBSPGI girl cadets were the only group to have undertaken the task.

The achievements of the girl cadets at the camp were :

1. First prize(overall) - for cultural events.

2. First prize - group dance(Gidda)

3. Second prize - firing competition bagged by

Cadet sanchayita Mishra,

a ‘C’ certificate holder.

4. Third prize - Drill competition

5. Third prize - line area competition
